Gloucestershire Constabulary and the Novalis Trust, who own the woods, would like to remind members of public that Box woods are private property. There are however public footpaths through Box woods which are clearly marked out and should be kept to by those wishing to walk through the area.

The CCTV was paid for and installed by the Novalis Trust.

POLICE have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to in connection to criminal damage to the boundary fence of Box Woods in Minchinhampton.

Over recent weeks there have been several reports to Gloucestershire Constabulary of damage to the fence and it’s hoped that the man seen on CCTV footage in the area may be able to help them with their enquiries. On a nearly daily basis for two weeks at the end of March/beginning of April the fence was either cut or the posts and signs pulled up, possibly by people wishing to use the woods to walk through.

Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact Gloucestershire Constabulary on 0845 090 1234 quoting incident number 360 of March 17. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
